Hyderabad: A day after Islam's second holiest city of Medina was rocked by an explosion near the Masjid al Nabawi (Prophet Muhammad's mosque), the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) on Tuesday announced that it would organize a public meeting to condemn the terrorist attack and the so-called Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS.
Reacting sharply to the blast, party president Asaduddin took to micro-blogging site Twitter. "And IS uses a suicide bomber in front of Masjid Nabawi. May the curse of Allah be upon the so called khalifa and followers (sic)," he tweeted.
"We are going to organize a public meeting 'Condemnation of the Madinah Munawwarah Bombing'. Scholars belonging to different schools of thought will be speaking. These include Maulana Khalid Saifuallah Rahmani, Mufti Khaleel Ahmed, Mr Hamid Mohammed Khan, president of Jamaat-e-Islami, Telangana Odisha, Safi Madani from the Salafi school of thought, Shiite scholar Hyder Agha, among others," Owaisi told TOI.
