Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-ittehadul Muslimeen has sent a package of medicines and nutrition rich products worth Rs 50 lakhs along with a team of 17 doctors and five pharmacists from the Owaisi Group of Hospital to Seemanchal, Bihar to provide medical relief to people who have badly affected in the recent floods.
Asaduddin Owaisi MIM president and Hyderabad MP and Akbaruddin Owaisi MLA, have flagged off the relief team on Wednesday.
Asaduddin Owaisi said that thousands of people in Seemanchal region were suffering from viral and infectious diseases after the flood and were in need of support as there was no proper medical infrastructure in that area.
A delegation of MIM leaders including two legislators Jaffer Hussain Mahraj and Kauser Mohiuddin with former Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain also left for Bihar with the team of doctors.
