While the MIM recently announced that his party would provide 20 litre drinking water for Re 1, the programme paper says "BMC will be asked to set up mineral water plants in slums to provide 10 litres of purified drinking water to each family" . The party also promises a meal for Rs 5 for the poor. "Our programmes are doable and practical," said MIM legislator Waris Pathan.

Supriya Gaikwad, Varsha Dwande, Nisha Wankhede in AIMIM 3rd list for BMC polls.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Thursday released the third list containing the names of 27 candidates including Supriya Gaikwad, Versha Dwande, Nisha Wankhede, Kalpana Tai and Vinod Kamble for the upcoming Mumbai Mahanagar Palika Elections (BMC Polls).
Supriya Gaikwad and Versha Dwande have respectively been fielded from Ward no. 26 and Ward no.121 whereas Nisha Wankhed will contest from Ward no. 140, Kalpana Tai from Ward no. 134 and Vinod Kamble from Ward no. 155.

The AIMIM had earlier released the names of 18 candidates in the first list and 16 candidates in the second list of party candidates for the February 21, 2017 elections.
The AIMIM MLA from Byculla while releasing the first list had declared that the party will field a total of 50 candidates. However with the release of third list containing 27 names, the AIMIM tally for the February 2017 BMC polls rose to 61.
